WW2 US Guadalcanal Souvenirs
(LOCAL PICK UP ONLY!!!) Northern California.
Souvenirs brought back from Guadalcanal during WW2 by a US veteran.
Lot includes a large wooden bucket wrapped with Japanese writing that translates to “BEER BUCKET”. The bucket has a makers watermark and is fitted with a snug fitting lid. Wrapped around the bucket is two twisted metal wires. The bucket is completely made nail and glue free, constructed entirely with tight fitting woodwork and bamboo pegs.
Next in the lot is two grass skirts hand made by Guadalcanal locals and never unraveled since they were made in the 1940’s.
Last but not least , a pair of bamboo arrow quivers. The arrows and their holders are made of bamboo and lauhala leaves.
