WW2 German Heer single decal M42 ET64
Super low batch number 005! No doubt one of the first M42’s manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerk Thale. The hole in the dome of the helmet indicates it being used as a grave marker during the war (judging by all of the bullet strikes from different angles). Allies often used grave marker helmets as target practice. It may also have been repurposed as a lamp shade post war. Whatever the case may be its a fantastic display piece with no shortage of character, truly a great conversation starter.
