1st Fight Platoon 175th Aviation Company Patch in first photo is what is for sale.
Story an other photos were sent to me by the man who designed the patch after seeing my listing online.
The young man in the Huey is Sgt David Young the insignia under him is the prototype Sgt Young painted on the side of Outlaw 12, He was the Crew Chief/Door Gunner. Sgt Young designed this patch in 1971 while stationed in Vin Long Vietnam, He flew Outlaw 10, Sgt Young had the original sewn by locals in town. The third picture is a patch sewn on an ARVN jacket Sgt Young acquired in Viet Nam (NOT FOR SALE). He had the local guy make more as they had no Platoon patch at the time. When Sgt Young requested the design to be made into a patch, the old man in Vin Long brought it to him for approval, Sgt Young kept the original in the last photo (NOT FOR SALE), sent it home to his folks and the guys from 1st Platoon went down to Vin Long and had the old man make theirs.
