Extremely Rare WWII German Reproduction Waffen SS Janke Made Dot44 Uniform Set
Here we have a nearly unobtainable Janke Dot44 set. It was made by the son of a German uniforms supplier for the Wehrmacht Michael Janke. Every stitch from top to bottom is done exactly as the originals were manufactured. The uniform was constructed from rolls of HBT cloth and materials that were left over after the war in his fathers shop. Legend has it, Michael Janke made these in Germany for a limited time in the 1970’s-80’s using Original WW2 Patterns, HBT material, Insignia and hardware, including buttons, hooks, sliders and even thread. Janke stopped making these Dot44 sets when his fathers original materials ran out. The quality of these old Michael Janke reproductions are very scary for collectors and a dream come true for shady dealers trying to make a fortune off these old (ultra high quality) reproductions selling them as original. In fact the only couple Janke 44Dot sets I have seen for sale have been on dealer websites being sold as.. you guessed it “ORIGINAL”.
The price may seem high but if you know “Janke” then you know his prices and products are not for the beginner reenactor or collector. In fact old Janke uniforms and caps have a collector market of their own fetching very high prices. New made Janke uniform sets are selling for nearly $3,000 and his jackets sell for upwards of $1,000 new. This old and very limited rare set is the closest you can get to the real deal without spending around $8,000, in fact it is actually much rarer than an original set.
